Now that Balthazar had met...Balthazar during a random trip out to town he was now in possession of a few silken scarves for Jack. Not only that but both angels had discussed their vessels together and had visited several jewellery stores within the Nexus. This was more out of Balthazar talking about a possible eternity ring for Jack at Christmas. His counterpart being very helpful, since he clearly had taste being another version of himself, had offered to escort him around the jewellers.
Now he was back home, Balthazar had laid out a few bowls of snacks; crisps, tortillas, pickled onions (since Jack loved them and the angel's cupboard was stocked full of them), jellies and some ice cream. Next to that were several bottles of booze, scotch, vodka, rum, wine and tequila. His counterpart could take his pick on which he wished to procure. Just adding the finishing touches to the table which included setting out a scented candle which smelt of frankincense. It wasn't quite a date but more of a meeting of the angels as such.
"Right....now where are you?"
Rummaging around, Balthazar pulled out the bottle opener for the wine if his counterpart so wished to coat his palate with a vintage. All he had to do now was to wait for the other angel to show up at his doorstep. Either that or he might teleport directly inside, which wouldn't surprise him one bit.

He makes a brief stop at a bakery for a cheesecake with fresh fruit on top to bring along. It won't be as good as Lucifer's, but it'll be worth sharing.
Normally he'd stop at the door and knock, but since this is an alternate of himself, he doesn't feel the need to stand on ceremony. The lights flicker briefly to herald him, and then he's standing by the front door, looking around.
"This is very nice! I shouldn't be surprised we have similar taste."

Walking towards the food table, he picked up a glass for himself he began pouring out some of the red wine after popping the cork expertly. His vessel's liver might protest once more at the abuse it was about to suffer but none the less the angel had company. A certain decorum had to be upheld.
"Wine? This is a vintage of 1913."

"Oh, my. I'm not about to turn down a good wine; yes please."
"You know, I do have to ask how things are going in your world eventually. Just, you know, to compare notes. But we can get a bit drunker first."

Who would have thought that two angels that were practically the same were inhabiting the Nexus together. Albeit, residing in different vessels. He picked up a handful of crisps and palmed them into his mouth, crunching softly.
"Of course. There's plenty of time."
Getting drunker sounded a very good idea.

He wanders over to the couch and sinks onto it easily, legs akimbo. "So, we're already aware of who we're each dating. Have you met many of the Fallen angels yet? Or Aziraphale?"

Sinking down onto the couch next to the other angel, Balthazar stretched out his legs, sighing a little and relaxing also. Other angels? Oh yes he'd met quite a few of those.
"I've met some of the Fallen yes. Beelzebub I briefly spoke to, Lucifer I've met. Aziraphale? He's the well spoken, well dressed angel who loves food? We've met, yes. In fact, he's offered to give me some cooking lessons one day. I'd still like to meet more of the Fallen and aim to be welcomed into the angel family."
Eyes crinkling at the sides into a warm smile, he sipped his wine and wondered how his counterpart felt around the others.

Date: 2020-11-11 03:50 am (UTC)He nods and seems satisfied by the fact that his alternate has met Beelzebub and Lucifer. There's no evident jealousy; he suspects Lucifer would have told him if anything beyond the platonic had occurred.
"Aziraphale is an absolute cinnamon roll and I adore him. His lover Crowley is charming, as well, but less outgoing."
"You'll like Sin, if you get the chance to meet her. Best to be on moderately good behavior as she's Lucifer's daughter, but I doubt you're likely to offend her. Thnisko is Lucifer's son, and he's apparently extremely powerful--that, and he can hear everything that goes on around him--but he's gentle and quiet, and he's been through awful things, so do be sure to be kind."
"They're my stepchildren now, and I'm still getting used to that, but it's a good feeling."
He sips his wine again, then adds, "Ah--but I would be careful of Moloch, if I were you. I mean, even just dodge him if you can. As far as I can tell, Aziraphale is the only person who can reliably get along with him."

Date: 2020-11-11 04:11 pm (UTC)"All these interesting angels to meet. What is an angel to do?"
Getting up from the chair, he went into a cupboard and pulled out a bottle of scotch and fished out two rocks glasses, setting them onto the table. The night was young and Balthazar was very much enjoying his counterpart's company.
"Moloch? I'll have to watch out for him if we do cross paths. Does he bite?"
A friendly gesture on his part but none the less he would watch out. Tipping some scotch into his empty rocks glass he glanced up to the other man, offering a friendly smile. At the mention of Sin and Thnisko, there was a definite seriousness flashing across his face. They were to be respected, being the son and daughter of the devil.
"Scotch? I can't let it go to waste now that we're both in the same room together. How about we liven it up a little? Truth or dare, perhaps?"

Date: 2020-11-30 03:07 pm (UTC)"Mind you, Lucifer's lot are at war and there are political tiffs on the regular, but even at that rate they're light years friendlier than our Host. I want to go abduct all the cherubs and cupids from home and bring them here where they can have a good time without being bullied."
Not that most of them would go. It's just a whim.
"Ah. Moloch most definitely bites. And chews and swallows on occasion. He's very unhappy and I don't blame him for that, but I've come to realize I'm not the person to reach out to him."
"Scotch? Always. Is it Glenmorangie? That's my favorite." He nods and laughs at the suggestion of Truth or Dare. "All right, but you start."

Date: 2020-12-14 07:57 pm (UTC)Balthazar knew he'd have to get to know Aziraphale better over the course of time within the Nexus. Not being stabbed is definitely a good thing. At least he didn't have to keep looking behind in fear of being betrayed. That was the worst feeling. For now though, he was enjoying his counterpart's company and rightly so.
"He bites? I'll have to watch out for that one. Jack bites but he's the only one who I actually enjoy biting me."
A playful smirk and he tipped his glass up to his lips taking a small sip. Glancing at his rocks glass, Balthazar swallowed slowly, feeling the liquid coat his throat with the slow burn on the way down. That always felt good.
"Naturally. I do enjoy a good Scottish single malt. We have such excellent taste, darling!"
Now, what would it be? Truth or dare? Balthazar frowned slightly as he tried to think what would be best. Something nice and easy to crack the ice with so to speak. Oh, all the ice puns. He was good at those.
"Alright, truth!"
