"Kate Winslet's boobs? Oh, well quite, darling! The art scene definitely interested my vessel, Seth, who is a real artist. Of course the boy, Jack, wasn't actually drawing it himself, was he? I mean Leonardo. A real artist did it. Still, the show must go on as they say."

The choice of record was a good one and the angel found himself pouring some more booze into his now empty glass as he studied Dean's choice. Then, the singing started and oh---what singing it was to! Not bad but slightly off key. Balthazar knew he couldn't do any better so watched and drank whilst trying not to giggle into his glass.

"Oh, bravo, Dean! A good choice I must say. Is it my go to choose a song now? I have to warm my vocal chords up too before taking on such a Titanic challenge."

Oh, the puns.

Balthazar had donned out the living room table with booze and lots of salted snacks of all kind since this evening he wanted to talk to Jack. But it wasn't about anything trivial, far from it in fact. This had been brewing up for a manner of months now, ever since the angel had talked with both Ziggy and Tom about Jack's alien heritage. The fact that he was half-Anthean like Ziggy. Thanks to the bastards at the Ministry, Jack had no memory of who or what he was. In stepped his family who had enlightened Balthazar to the truth.

Now he had to tell Jack.

Pouring himself a large scotch, Balthazar near downed the whole thing in one go. It wasn't going to be easy but it had to be done. He couldn't allow his partner to be wandering around in ignorance, not knowing why his palms and abdomen leaked a strange alien slick when aroused. Or why he had a pouch located in his abdomen. It was these things that had to be brought up among other things. Just telling Jack that he was an Anthean like Ziggy---these were the things that had to be said.

"Well, love. No time like the present as they say."

Inhaling sharply, Balthazar sat down on the couch and felt Onyx immediately bound up, licking at his face just as he had sat down. The large puppy pleased that his owner was now back in the house after being out buying food and drink down the local store. The angel giggled a little when Onyx licked at his nose. Silly, big dog. But he loved him. Now he just had to wait for Jack. The nerves already bundling up deep in the pit of his stomach.

It had been a time coming but finally Balthazar's bar "The Angel's Retreat" was open for business having been stocked up fully with drinks of all shapes, sizes and colours. Standing at the bar area is the owner, wings out and clutching a glass of Lucifer's finest angel booze. Scotch to be precise but at angel strength. The certain bottles of gut rot were locked up within a drinks cabinet behind the bar with only Balthazar being able to open it. The stuff was lethal to non-immortals and not wanting to poison potential customers, safety had to be upheld.

The Bar Area:

Feel free to mingle here with one another and indulge in conversation and order your drinks here. Balthazar will be on hand to deliver whatever your heart's desire so chooses. Whether it be the strongest drink to the less lethal non-alcoholic varieties. Along with drinks there are also bowls of snacks positioned along the length of the bar including; crisps, potato chips (tortillas and the like), pickles, peanuts and other aperitifs.



The Nightclub and dance floor:

If you are tired of ordering drinks or chatting then have no fear. If you walk into the backroom of the bar you will find a night club area, complete with a dance floor and DJ in the corner offering up a wide range of music. He also takes requests, so feel free to ask. That, or Balthazar will arrange something for your tastes. There is also a pole with a woman, or man, binding himself around it, offering up quite the show for any eager enthusiasts. It depends on what time of day you frequent the club. If it's evening then the pole dancer will be here showing of their moves. The dance floor is open all day.

Seth is Balthazar's vessel being a man of exploration and nature. At a glance he looks to be in his late forties, early fifties but there is much more to the man than meets the eye.

He's a naturalist, artist and explorer coming from around the 1870's and often travels on the steamer ships of the time visiting places to study his animals and discover new species along the way. You can often find him scaling peaks, traipsing through thick snowy bleak lands, delving into hot, humid jungles and walking over the hot sands of Africa's deserts. The man enjoys a challenge and often takes to his sketch pad to draw animals or ideas he has in his head. His favourite journeys are to the northern climbs close to the Artic circle whether it be Canada, Norway or Siberia. The man has stamina to rival any and does not shy away from coming face to face with dangerous animals.

The picture below is of the explorer Sir John Richardson who was also naval surgeon and naturalist who often explored the Canadian Arctic circle. Seth is very much like this explorer.



Now, that Balthazar is within the Nexus, Seth is also within the Nexus, exploring the strange lands around him. The Wilds being one of them where he often takes his sketch book and materials to seek out animal life in any form and document his finds. Being an avid climber, many can find him climbing peaks or cliff ledges to search for an illusive bird or study a nest or two. Nothing can put Seth off when he's on to something.

As far as personality goes, Seth is a more reserved character than Balthazar, being from a time when men were gentlemen and more proper in their speech and actions. He may come across as being a "man from the times" where race, creed, colour and gender were looked upon in a more draconian view then the present day within the Nexus. Yet, Seth is a man who tries to break from such moulds as he himself is secretly gay, often taking a male lover and hiding it from society. Many a time has he delved into a dense woodland or forest with a male partner to share some intimacy in a secluded environment. He is pretty easy going to most who meet him and will show compassion and kindness to those he loves, much like Balthazar.
